  What is WOODPRO?WOODPRO is a wood-plastic composite made of reclaimed thermoplastics, reclaimed hardwood fibers & patented thermoplastic binders & resin additives. The approximate composition of WOODPRO is as follows:
  • Reclaimed post-production untreated hardwood
(Fibers/granules): 60%
  • Reclaimed post-consumer thermoplastics

(P.P/P.E/HDPE-recyclable): 25%
  • New thermoplastics – P.P/P.E (recyclable): 10%
  • Patented Bonding agents/resins

(As per ASTM standards for wpc): 5%

  Is WOODPRO moisture resistant?WOODPRO has excellent moisture resistance, howerver it should be noted that WOODPRO is not designed to remain submerged in water.

  Does WOODPRO need ventilation?Yes, list timber, it is important to provide adequate ventilation to ensure WOODPRO is able to dry out after being wet. For this reason it is very important to pay attention to clearance on bult joins(end to end), spacing between boards (side by side), and minimum ground clearances/surface clearance. Lack of ventilation can cause the product to swell over time. Check product fixing instructions of information on ventilation requirements. Boxing in the deck will reduce cross flow ventilation and therefore should be avoided.

  Is joist(Under ceck) spacing & size for Decking important?Yes it is very important not to exceed 450mm c/c spacing of joists for decking. The joists have to be of solid wpc of minimum 40*30mm sections.

  What material can be used for cladding framework?It is generally recommended to use Aluminum sections. Solid wpc sections also canbe used. It is important to note that the spacing of the frames should not exceed 550mm.

  Will it warp?WOODPRO products will not warp provided they are used and fixed in accordance with standard fixing instructions.

  Does it splinter?The composition of WOODPRO products means that they will not splinter. This mkes them children friendly also.

  How do I fix WOODPROWhilst WOODRPO has many fixing similarities to natural timber, there are a few subtle differences that must be observed. Please check Fixing & Technical on our website or ask for tecknical manuals.

  Does WOODPRO fade?Yes, WOODPRO undergoes same fading when exposed to the elements. WOODPRO generally comes in ‘smooth’ or ‘brushed’ & ‘woodgrains’ options for each colour. The ‘smooth’ colour will fade approximately half way between its original colour and that of the “brushed ” version. This will primarily happen during the first couple of months. The brushed surface shows miniral fade. However the fading will be uniform so that the aesthetics are not affected.

  Is it UV Protected?Yes WOODPRO products are highly protected against UV radiation. Please note however UV stabilisation is for the plastic component of the product and does not have a great affect on the fading characteristics.

  How does WOODPRO compare with timber in terms of surface temperature?Tests have shown WOODPRO has a similar surface temperature to timber of similar colours and finishes.

  What can I build with WOODPRO?It is an ideal product for Exterior decks, railing, gazebos, screens, exterior cladding, fencing, window and door trim, benches, picnic tables and waste bins and for any outdoor prodect. The uses are limited only by your imagination.

  Does it come in standard sizes and lengths?We manufacture a wide variety of nominal sizes to suite various applications. The standard lengths are 2.8m. Reter out products page for detated sizes. The lengths can be customized up to 4.0m for minimum order size of 1000 R..M.

  Can WOODPRO be used near the sea?WOODPRO is ideal in a marine envionment, being unaffected by humidity and salt deposits.

  Is WOODPRO termite & mould resistant?WOODPRO has been found to give superior termite resistance enough to be classed as a “termite control” & mould resistant product.

  Can I paint or stain WOODPRO?It is recommended to use WOODPRO in its manufactured form Staining of painting will lead to maintenance of such surface treatments.

  What are the color options for WOODPRO?Our standard colours are original wood, brown red wood, walnut and mahogany. However, we maintain stocks of two colours (original wood & brown). Any other colour will be available on minimum quantity order.
